Sports

Sports and games are the ways of enhancing the children's mental and physical growth. Sports help them in character building and provides them energy and strength. Sports also eliminate mental exhaustion of the children. Education is incomplete without sports. We have come to realize that India is full of talented an hard working athletes who redefine the meaning of the word 'success'. At GWIS, all our players strive to bring out their individual best and what really pleases us the most is the fact that these players understand the concept of being student - athletes and give their best in academics as well. As an institution we have continued to grow with high performance in the games and have won all levels within a short period of time.

"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body; it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual ability also."

On the basis of the same we take upon ourselves to promote and encourage sports culture in our pupils. They may opt for any one of the multiple activities mentioned below:

  • Lawn Tennis
  • Football
  • Cricket
  • Skating
  • Table Tennis
  • Volleyball
  • Field Activities and Indoor games.

The unique characteristics of GWIS is to believe that sports promote integrated education fast. The tradition of excellence in academics in reality is achieved in the playgrounds. The collaboration and co-operation demanded by sports, the growth and development which stems from the sport talents and skills enable them to nurture healthy rivalry to win over any competition and smile at if lost or as they say 'A sportsman/person accepts the defeat on the chin'.
