Curriculum

For every child, on every day, our innovative, inquiry based, co-operative, project based learning and differentiated teaching is tailored to different learning styles of our pupils. Our hands-on skillful learning makes the curriculum vibrant and enables the child feel, grasp and explore further. GWIS comprehensive curriculum is a total integration of all the features of the life and the living of it.

 

PRE-SCHOOL CURRICULUM

As children of this age group emerge from pre-school they require both a home like comfort, yet stimulating and a challenging environment to develop their skills. We have specially developed curriculum which is flexible enough to accommodate the individual strength of each pupil. With our innovative concept of learning centers we lay stress on learning by doing. We do not believe in learning in vacuum, so it is always hands-on work and skillful learning. The curriculum offers multifarious learning opportunities and situations to young aspiring souls.

PRIMARY GRADES (1 to 5)

 

Primary school students at GWIS learn and grow in self contained classes. They enjoy the advantage of variety, by working with art, music & physical education faculties and follow classes in science, language and math.

The aims of our curriculum are to ensure that all children are provided with learning opportunities that recognise & celebrate their uniqueness, develop their full potential & prepare them to meet the challenges of 21st Century

 

MIDDLE GRADES (6 to 9)

 

The middle school program embarks on a life long task of forming personal identity and acquiring social skills. Academicaly: developing their higher level thinking and reasoning skills, while socially: peer group approval gains importance as they begin to develop their own values and make their own decisions.

Our Curriculum provides : First strong core academics in math, social studies, science languages. Diversity and exposure to art, music, drama, IT and sports. Challenging course work which is collaborative, meaningful and active.
